Had an incredibly stressful 12 hr. shift at the hospital, didn’t feel like cooking and went to Fancy Shushi to order take out. Not long after I placed my order, the lovely woman who greets you at the door, brought me a hot cup of broth and it just about brought me to tears…that simple act of kindness just spoke to my heart… especially after that day of caring for others, she ministered to me. What a lovely gesture.
Well I just visited Fancy Sushi again. How is it, that they keep getting better and better? I have never had the luncheon special and could not believe the quality and quantity of the meal we received. For eight dollars you get a delicious bowl of soup, salad (so-so), your choice of two types of sushi (which consist of 16 pieces) from an extensive list, and they bring a little sushi teaser at the beginning of your meal. Then they brought over tempura fried oreos with a dollop of cream, on the house. Have to admit, I did not try them, but the others did not particularly like them, even though they appreciated the kindness.
Such a welcoming friendly atmosphere and the service is outstanding, even though on occasion there is a language barrier.
I had lunch with someone that had never been to the restaurant today. As usual the quality, price, service, the happy feeling all around you, blew him away. They can bank on a new regular. This is absolutely one of Amelia’s best places.
I have been to sushi restaurants all over the country and this is by far my favorite. The food is great. They will make anything that you request and I have never been disappointed. I go there as often as I can, and the staff is always attentive, and I am treated like I am family.
I would recommend this restaurant anytime, anywhere and to anyone. Over the past 2 years I have tried everything on the menu and not even one dish has disappointed me. Dragon rolls are sinful indulgence. Service is very attentive and friendly, and prices are moderate. Next to Soon Restaurant in Kenosha Wisconsin, the best of it’s kind I have ever experienced, and that includes Sushi restaurants in Tokyo, London, New York and San Francisco
Their luncheon menu is a dining value! With dinner out on the island being expensive, a leisurely lunch at Fancy Sushi is a dining pleasure and cost efficient. Food and service are superb.
I have traveled the world, and this sushi is as good as I’ve had anywhere. The tempura is light and crispy, and a shrimp appetizer we were given prior to our meal was wonderful.
The only disappointing part of the meal was the salad. The ginger dressing was wonderful,but it was served on water-logged iceburg lettuce.
They treat their regulars like family. Food is the best in town. Have eaten here about 15 times and always LOVE whatever I order. Very fresh and artfully prepared.
Would like to have more than 2 choices of salad dressing, both of which I dislike.
Extremely good food and the service is impeccable!
